Gold Strike

Do miners return back to where they came from not being able to get rich during the gold rush?
I have to do a document that describes the history the life of a miner during the gold rush and I was wondering if someone could describe what happened to the miners, if they could get rich. thanks!
Much will depend on the gold you refer. Hurry few miners ever got rich during the Gold Rush. Some never gave up – we've all read stories and seen movies on Grisley old miners still looking for a statement that will make you rich. Others have resorted to another job. Levi Strauss made his fortune in gold mining 1849 by selling the pants, but durable to other miners. Other, less famous, can be configured stores, farms and fishing enterprises. Samuel Clemens became a writer. Jack London did the same after having failed in the Klondike. Probably some of the 49's returned home, it would have taken a lot of money and had no prospects back home, on the other hand, some did just that. Error seekers fever would have been more likely to return to their places of origin and to the harsh climate of the Yukon did another job almost impossible. California was far more attractive. Sometimes the miners left the community and went to another. West U.S. is stained ghost towns left by miners.
